Why isn't the paywall going away?

If a tool returned nothing on a particular article, it is almost always because that outlet uses a hard wall. Here is what is happening, and what to try next.
Hard walls send no text
Sites like the WSJ, FT and Bloomberg check your subscription on the server and send no article text to logged-out readers. No tool can extract text that was never delivered — only a pre-existing public archive of that article can help.
Bot protection
Large publishers add Cloudflare-style checks that block automated fetches. A "blocked" result means the page demanded a real browser with JavaScript, which a server-side reader cannot pass.
The metered edge case
On metered outlets your first few articles are delivered (and recoverable), then the wall drops and later articles stop coming through. An archived snapshot is the fallback.
